Halloween

A very happy Monkey, a famously beautiful Cowgirl, and the team captain #1

October is for Football and Birthdays

This one was truly a Colorado Day. There was about 4 inches of snow and the boys still played their hearts out. It was great to see them with so much enthusiasam when it was so cold.

Here is the Team Captain #1 on the coin toss.

The other pictures are of Christa's B-day. Yes folks she just keeps getting older and wiser, not to mention "HOTTER"!!!!

Zoo Days

This was a great Colorado October day at the ZOO. Chase wanted to adopt the big Momma behind the fence (it was the kids favorite) and the little baby ape that Crash kept saying was "sooooo cute".

9 YR OLD FOOTBALL

Featuring: Player #1

This is Chase and one of his great football games. He is on a 9yr old competition team "Parker Hawks". He is a starter and playing guard and noseguard. At 82 lbs. with all his equipment on, he is one of the lightest linemen in the league. The other kids weigh over 100 lbs and some have weighed in at 140 lbs.

It has taken up every saturday for the last 2 months and has been great for Chase to grow outside of his "comfort zone". The coaches have just been amazed at his progress and how far he has come in just one season. We are all very proud of his for his courage and his willingness to "do hard things". As we say in our house, "Chase is the Greatest Football player, Ever!!"

This was our camping trip to Eagle, Colorado. There is a CO state park there that has a small lake. The camping was great and the kids were able to fish at the lake for free. Unfortunately no fish were biting. Of all the kids, Claire was the most interested in it and has been bugging Chris to get a fishing pole for her.

Triathlon

This was the Rattlesnake Traithlon in Aurora, Colorado. It was supposed to be in the warm summer sun, but a typical Colorado storm made it about 45 degrees and raining. It was a bit of a test for a first timer, but I think all the hair helped trap some of the heat.

PS: because of bad knees, I hadn't run in about 1 month and I had never swam a race in open water before.
