Gavel x 3

While in Utah, Chase was able to make 3 gavel's with my dad.
In case your wondering what a gavel is, it is what a judge uses in the courtroom---the judge slams it down as he says order in the court.
This is Chase with 1 of the gavel's he made.
I have a wonderful father, who has many talents, skills, and knowledge. I am so grateful for him, for taking the time to teach Chase how to make a gavel.
I know Chase felt special, and important while spending time with my dad.
Another precious memory to hold close to our hearts.
I wished we lived closer to my parents, so my children could learn and see my dad's many skills, and talents more often! Thanks dad!

Pretty impressive!!!!!

Timpanogos Cave

We decided to go see Timpanogos Cave while in Utah.
It was beautiful!
I forgot what a work-out that hike is to get to the cave.
The kids kept reminding us about the difficulty of the hike all the way to the top.

It was worth it--all smiles on the hike back down from the cave.

Fun in the Sun---Bear Lake

We had a fun, filled week in Bear Lake with my family.
Plenty of laughter, kids crying, fun, and lasting memories.
Thanks mom and dad for the great trip, we will hold the memories close to our hearts.

Garden of the Gods

We decided to go down to Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs on Monday after the 4th of July. It was a beautiful day, and it actually wasn't too hot. I love this place because it reminds me of Lake Powell, where I spent many summers vacationing with my family. I have fun, happy memories of these past vacations at Lake Powell. Garden of the Gods doesn't have the lake, but fun rocks to climb on, and explore. Oh, and the best part is that it is free.
The kids had a great time climbing, and exploring together.
After climbing, we finished the day off with a "Hamburger of the Gods", (as Chris described it)
a Five Guys burger---yum!
Days in Colorado don't get much better than this.
