Cherry Blossom Festival

We went to the Cherry Blossom Festival last weekend, and it was gorgeous. It was a cooler, cloudy, rainy day, but it was still beautiful. We walked around the tidal basin to see the cherry blossoms, and we also saw the Jefferson Monument and the Franklin D. Roosevelt Monument. We had a special guest with us "Flat Stanley" who came along for the ride. Hopefully he had fun and his adventures will be a big success for Ridley. After seeing the cherry blossoms we went into the Holocaust Museum for a little peek, we will have to go back another day.

Georgetown Cupcake

Claire has been dying to go to Georgetown Cupcake ever since we moved here. We finally made it. Their cupcakes are delicious. We had to wait outside in line for about 25-30min. They brought us some hot chocolate while we were waiting. Once we were inside the process of ordering and paying was quick. We would love to go again soon! Love those cupcakes!

Chase 15th Birthday

Chase's 15th birthday was busy between school, and a basketball game. Chase has wanted to go to a buffet to eat for a long time, so that is what he chose for his birthday dinner. We all went to the Golden Corral for dinner, and ate way too much food.

Chris 43rd Birthday

We were able to celebrate Chris' 43rd birthday together as a family. Chris is quite the actor, I love these pictures of him. They put a smile on my face.

Skiing in Utah 2011

During our trip in Utah, we were able to take the kids skiing for a day. We went to Brighton. It was a beautiful, sunny day, and we had a blast! This is Carter the night before testing out the ski's. This was Carter's first time skiing, and he did great! Chris and I were so proud of him.

Christmas in Utah 2011

We were fortunate enough to be able to spend Christmas with our families in Utah thanks to Chris' parents generosity. It was wonderful to be back in Utah and to be able to spend time my family and Chris' family. The kids loved spending time with their cousins. On our way out to Utah, Chris was able to get a picture of all 3 of the kids in the cockpit of the airplane.

Washington DC temple lights

Before Christmas we went to see the lights at the Washington DC temple. It was a fun night for all. Inside the visitors center they had decorated Christmas trees and a nativity display with many nativities from around the world.
